Bright Side Inc. guarantees our exterior home paint jobs for a period of 25 years. Surfaces included are: Original Aluminum Siding, Vinyl Siding, LP Wood Siding, Rough Sawn Spruce or Pine Boards, Plywood Soffit, T-1-11, Original Brick, Aluminum Garage Doors, Gutters and Downspouts. The guarantee is pro rated and resists peeling, blistering, oxidation, fade factor, and mildew. Darker colors may fade quicker due to environmental conditions and tint (red oxide). Guarantee does not apply to dry rotted, waterlogged wood, and pulverized brick. Also guarantee does not apply to previously painted aluminum, brick, or cedar siding. Painted decks not included. Faulty gutters, bad roof job, or drip edge may cause damage to wood or brick, which is beyond our control, it voids any guarantees. Special additives and bonding primers are added to our paint to assure proper adhesions to chaulky or cracked surfaces. This is our special formula designed for aluminum and vinyl siding, but is proven to work on wood and brick for outstanding durability. We call it "Duracote Paint Process." Brick or wood chimneys are not guaranteed due to temperature factor.
WARRANTY SCHEDULE: Pro Rated
Bright Side’s Pro-rated of warranty obligations:
0-5 years: 100% Labor and Material covered. Bright Side will repair (touch up) any bad areas.
6-10 years: Owner pays 25% of cost to repair specific areas. (Labor costs only at then current rate).
11-15 years: Owner pays 45% of cost to repair specific areas. (Labor costs only at then current rate).
16-20 years: Owner pays 75% of cost to repair specific areas. (Labor costs only at then current rate).
21-25 years: Owner pays 95% of cost to repair specific areas. (Labor costs only at then current rate).
TERMS:
BRIGHT SIDE INC. will be responsible for repainting and/or cleaning only the surfaces specifically described on the reverse hereof. Doors, Windows, Gutters, Downspouts, Frames, Awnings, Shutters, and Brick etc. are not included unless specifically described on reverse hereof and are not included in guarantee. Estimate good for 90 days.
NEW GUTTERS/DOWNSPOUTS/SHUTTERS:
BRIGHT SIDE INC guarantees labor, workmanship and materials for a period of 3 years from date of installation. Gutters filled with leaves, debris, tennis balls, etc. are not covered under warranty. Shutters blown off from excessive winds are not under warranty.
CONDITIONS:
BRIGHT SIDE INC. will guarantee that every effort will be made to meet customer’s completion date, providing weather conditions are appropriate. Reasonable delays will not be cause to void contracts. BRIGHT SIDE INC. takes precautions and consideration of landscape, flowers, shrubs, bushes, trees, etc. may be damaged on occasion with ladders, hose, equipment, etc. if workers need to access a certain area to perform work. BRIGHT SIDE INC. is not responsible for choosing for deciding on color choices. Once colors are chosen a customer is obligated to use chosen colors. Color swatches are approximate only. If customer changes colors after paint materials have been mixed, the customer is responsible for cost of paint.
PAYMENTS:
Balance must be paid on completion of the job. All returned checks will be subject to a $35.00 charge. Any minor call backs are not legitimate reason to hold payment for balance of completion of the job by BRIGHT SIDE INC. All call backs will be taken care of within 30 days. Bright Side is committed to customer satisfaction. This contract is not valid unless accepted by BRIGHT SIDE INC. You may cancel or void this contract within three business days from date signed without any penalty or obligations. However, if any work has been performed, labor, sales estimating costs, etc prior to cancellation, deposit will be forfeited. Also, if materials for the job have been purchased. Full contract price is due and payable upon completion of work. Owner agrees that any unpaid balances of money due to BRIGHT SIDE INC. under terms of contract at any time of completion shall bear interest at a rate of 2% per month (24% per annum) until paid in full.
